Network Security

All devices connected to a network are potential targets for malicious attackers. Network security is the technology dedicated to defending against these threats. Research in this area involves attack detection using Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and securing IoT devices, which have become increasingly prominent.

Digital Watermarking

Digital content such as images and videos must be protected by copyright. Digital watermarking is a technology used to prevent the unauthorized use of such media. Research in this theme includes exploring embedding methods compatible with video compression and embedding watermarks directly into software.

Personal Authentication

Personal authentication is essential when utilizing smartphones or web services. Research in this field covers authentication methods utilizing visual information as well as studies focusing on issues related to forgotten passwords.

Privacy Protection

Privacy protection involves safeguarding personal information transmitted over computer networks from potential leaks. Research under this theme explores methods such as utilizing blockchain technology to protect personal data effectively.

Research Title Detecting Mixing Transactions in Bitcoin by Using Graph Neural Networks (Undergraduate)

Research Abstract All cryptocurrency transaction histories are recorded on the blockchain. Consequently, when criminals use cryptocurrencies for money laundering, they sometimes utilize "mixing services" to evade traceability. This technique obscures the relationship between senders and receivers by combining multiple transactions into one. Therefore, detecting the transactions generated by these mixing services is crucial for anti-money laundering efforts. To address this, my research constructed transaction graphs from blockchain data and tackled the detection of mixing transactions using Graph Neural Networks.
